Dreissigacker Estate Riesling 2014 is made on Jochen Dreissigacker's 21ha organic and biodynamic estate in the Rheinessen. He vinifies all vineyard low-yielding parcels separately using only spontaneous fermentations and without resort in the sweeter styles to the addition of so-called suss-reserve. This bone dry wine uses hand-harvested fruit and was fermented in stainless steel tanks and without the addition of any chaptalising sugar. A pale yellow wine with some tints of green, on the nose it has plent of ripe fruit and on the palate it is medium-bodied, bone-dry and elegant with plenty of acidity to balance the ripe fruit character. Good persistence.
