Donnhoff Kreuznacher Krotenpfuhl Riesling Spatlese 2010 is made with grapes grown in the early ripening, south facing, \"Toad Pool\" vineyard near the town of Bad Kreuznach on the Nahe River, a tributary of the Rhine, in south western Germany. A yellow-green wine with a relatively subdued nose of green fruits and wet stones. Not as lean on the palate as you may imagine it has lots of livery minerality togethr with apple and pear, off-dry but beautifully balanced thanks to some classic riesling acidity.
