Chateau Mouras 2011 is produced by Jean-Christophe Barbe using a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (50/50) grown in 6 hectares of vineyard parcels in and around the villages of Portets, Illats and Landiras in the Appellation of Graves. After being manually harvested the fruit spent almost a month on the skins at nearly 30oC after which the wine underwent malolactic fermentation and was matured for a year in oak barrels. The bottled wine has plenty of ripe berry fruits on the nose. Supple, ripe tannic structure on the palate with dark fruit flavours and a nice minerality.
