Camille Cayran Impatiente Cotes du Rhone 2011 is made by Thierry Caymaris and Graeme Paul using a blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah (54/41/5) grown around the southern Rhone town of Cairanne close to the Dentelles de Montmirail ridge of mountains. Following harvest the grapes were crushed and the must fermented in stainless steel tanks after which the wine was transferred to concrete tanks where it underwent malolactic transformation. A bright, purple wine with berry fruits and cherry on the nose. Nicely balanced on the palate, full-bodied with good acidity to counterbalance the ripe fruit flavours.
