Brusset Gigondas Tradition Le Grand Montmirail 2014 is made with carfeully-selected, manually-harvested grapes. The bunches are de-stalked and the 15 day fermentation is spontaneous, with twice daily punching down of the grapes skins to ensure good extraction of both colour and tannins. The wine is then aged in a range of sizes of barrels. The wine is a mid ruby colour with a nose of black cherrt and liquorice. Smooth on the palate with good acidity and complexity and a restrained sweetness from the fruit. Tannins are a little dusty and the length of flavour excellent.
