Painted Wolf Lekanyane is made with a "Cape Blend" of grapes (Chenin Blanc, Viognier and Verdelho) grown in vineyards in Stellenbosch, Paarl and Malmesbury. The name means Painted Wolf in the Tswana language of Botswana. The grapes are manually harvested, crushed and then about half was fermented in tank and the remainder in small oak barrels, about half of which were first fill. A beautiful wine, vibrant but with great mouthfeel and flavours and aromas of tropical as well as citrus fruits. Creamy and with vanilla thanks to the oak fermentation. A long crisp finish.
