Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc 2014 is made by former Cloudy Bay winemakers James Healy and Ivan Sutherland using hand-picked fruit from older, lower yielding, vineyard plots. The wine-making is natural and with minimal intervention, spontaneous fermentation and malo-lactic transformation and plenty of lees contact during maturation. The finished wine is an attractive straw yellow with lots of fresh, intense fruit on the nose, tropical passion fruit as well as more citrus lemony aromas. The palate is crisp and mineral with a great balance and persistence.
