Ata Rangi Craighall Chardonnay 2014 uses hand-picked fruit from the low-yielding vines on the estate vineyards slightly north of the city of Wellington at the south end of the North Island. The grapes are pressed as whole bunches and then the juice undergoes a spontaneous fermentation and subsequent malolactic transformation in Burgundy barrels with regular lees stirring. It has a nose rich with the aromas of nectarines, stone fruits and a little floral hint. A lovely mouthfeel with a lovely complexity and length of flavour.8 BOTTLES OF THE 2010 VINTAGE REMAIN.
