Livio Felluga Vertigo 2013 is made by winemakers Andrea Felluga and Viorel Flocea using a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (60/40)from the estate's 200 hectares around the town of Brazzano in north east Italy. After harvesting manually the grapes are crushed and the juice macerated with the skins with regualr pumping of the wine over the cap. The wine is then aged in a mix of stainless steel and small French oak barrels for 12 months before bottling. A dark cherry red wine with lots of fruit on the nose, cherries, blackberries, currants as well as some spice and herbaceousness. Full bodied with ripe soft tannins and all the swet fruitness balanced by excellent acidity and a nice spicey finish.
