Felsina Berardenga I Sistri Chardonnay 2013 is named after the ancient Egyptian musical instrument that sounded similar to the Glockenspiel and was associated with the cult of Isis, the Goddess of Agriculture and Fertility using fruit from 4.7 hectares of Chardonnay plantings. After harvest the fruit was whole bunch pressed and the must was chilled and clarified before being fermented in small barrels where it also aged on the lees before blending and bottling. A deep straw-yellow wine with tropical fruit, spice and vanilla on the nose. Very elegant on the palate with good body and a long pleasing finish.
