De Gras Merlot 2015 is made with de-stemmed fruit, 2 weeks skin contact and pumping over to extract skin tannins and colour. Around 15% of the wine was aged for 10 months in oak barrels to give this wine a hint of coconut and extra complexity. It is a deep ruby wine with an intense plummy nose and a little cedar from the oak. Fullish body with plenty of red berry and blackcurrant character. Well structured with soft tannins and good depth of flavour.
