Calbuco Chardonnay 2013 is made with fruit from Chile's main wine growing region, the Central Valley, whose climate is influenced by the Pacific Ocean to the east and the Andes mountains to the west. After harvest, de-stemming and crushing the juice was chilled and after some enzymatic manipulation was fermented in stainless steel tanks at 14oC. The bottled wine is pale golden in colour with tropical fruits dominating the nose. The palate is balanced, quite fill and has plenty of fruit flavour.
