Librandi Ciro Rosso 2013 is produced by the Librandi brothers with fruit from their 230 hectares of vineyards. Using some very modern approaches, their vineyards being planted in concentric circles and appearing like crop circles, as well as some more tradition thinking mean the wines are modern and fruit driven but a local character is maintained. Produced using the local Gaglioppo variety the Rosso has cherries, leather and violets on the nose. On the palate it is rich but with good acidity and ripe tannic structure that complements the fruit and spice flavours. Medium-bodied and quite elegant on the finish.
