Barco Reale di Carmignano 2013 is produced with fruit from south facing vineyards not far from Florence. Using a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Canaiolo (70/20/10) the wine is fermented in stainless steel and produces a wine which is a deep ruby red colour. On the nose the wine has sweet fruit and influence from the oak ageing. On the palate it is medium-bodied, the tannins are supple and the sweet fruitiness is balanced by a crisp acidity.
