Bellavista Uccellanda Curtefranca Bianco 2009 is made by winemaker Mattia Vezzola using 100% Chardonnay grown in the estates 4 hectare Uccellanda vineyard, some 400m above sea level, in the village of Cortefranca. The fruit is carefully selected at harvest and then crushed and the must is fermented in 228l oak barrels for a year before being bottled and undergoing another 6 months bottle ageing prior to release. A golden yellow wine with ripe apples, quince and exotic fruits on the nose. On the palate it is rich with lots of fruit and well integrated oak flavours all balanced and complemented by excellent acidity. Super long, complex, finish.
