Ben Glaetzer Wallace 2014 is made with a blend of Shiraz and Grenache (75/25) from up to 6 vineyard parcels, each of which was fermented separately in open topped vats. The wines were racked to old oak barrels for malolactic transformation and then into 3rd and 4th fill French and American oak barrels for 14 months maturation prior to bottling. On the nose it has lots of black cherry and on the palate it is round with blackberry and some hints of aniseed. Rich but with enough acidity to balance the fruit sweetness.
