Zuccardi Serie A Malbec 2011 is made with hand picked grapes grown in vineyards in the Uco Valley in the Mendoza region of Argentina. After a careful selection process and then being destemmed and crushed the must kept in contact with the grapes at low temperature for a week before being fermented using a selected yeast strain with frequent mixing of wine and skins. The wine was then aged in oak barrels for 10 months prior to bottling. An intense purple wine with lots of ripe red fruits and some pepper and spice on the nose. Soft on the palate with firm but ripe tannic structure to support the cherry fruit and chocolate flavours. Attractive and juicy finish.
