Punto Final Malbec Reserva 2013 is made by winemaker Pablo Profili using manually-harvested fruit from the low-yielding old vines of the Consulta and Perdriel vineyards at nearly 1000 metres above sea level. Following harvest and a period of cold maceration the must is fermented using native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. After being racked into french oak barrels the wine underwent malolactic transformation and was matured for 10 months prior to bottling. The wine is deep purple in colour with dark fruits, coffee and a hint of herbs on the nose. On the palate it is rich and round with smooth tannic structure and flavours of black cherry, mint and spice. Nicely complex on the finish.
