Crystallum The Agnes Chardonnay 2014 is made by Andrew and Peter-Allan Finlayson using grapes grown in three separate vineyard sites in the Hemel en Aarde and Overberg regions. After harvest the bunches were crushed whole and, after a settling period, the juice was fermented using native yeasts in French oak barrels after which it matured there for 9 months before bottling. The finished wine is quite complex on the nose with flowers, apple and peach on the nose. Full bodied and quite rich on the palate.
