Dreissigacker Einzigacker Weissburgunder Trocken 2013 is made with organically grown grapes from Jochen's 21 hectares of low-yielding vineyards in Germany's returning-to-form Rheinhessen region. After harvest, crushing and a 2 day skin contact period the must was fermented using wild yeasts in 500l French oak barrels. The finished wine is pale yellow in colour with some caramel and butter on the nose together with hints of vanilla and oak. On the palate it is full and complex with lots of ripe fruit, decent acidity and a fine long dry finish.
