Cave de Hunawihr Riesling Reserve 2014 is made with fruit from south and south-east facing vineyards between 250 and 320 metres above sea level around the pretty Alsation village of Hunawihr. Winemaker Nicolas Garde ensures that only excellent quality fruit goes into the Reserve wine. After crushing the must is fermented at low temperature using local strains of yeast before ageing on the lees for 3 months, filtration and bottling. A pale lemon yellow wine with lots of citrus fruit, pear and a little peach on the nose. Fresh on the palate with lots more citrus fruit character.
