Baron de Badassiere Syrah 2014 is made by winemakers Joel Jullien & Graeme Paul with input from consultant winemaker Matt Thomson using fruit grown around the Languedoc town of Pomerols where the warm climate is moderated by cool breezes off the Mediterranean. Following harvest and a brief skin contact period the juice was chilled, allowed to settle and the clear must fermented at 20oC. A deep red wine with a nice spiciness on the nose. Well structured on the palate with good fruit flavours.
