Bachelder Niagara Chardonnay 2011 is made with manually harvested, organically grapes grown on the limestone rich soils of the Saunders and Wismer vineyards on Twenty mile Bench. After crushing the grape must is fermented using wild yeasts. Malolactic transformation is allowed to take place after transfer of the wine to oak barrels where it is also matured to create a Burgundian style wine that is bright yellow in colour and has a lovely citrus-rich and floral nose. Medium to full on the palate with flavours of stone fruits and a long multu-faceted finish.
