Domaine des Ballandors Quincy 2015 is made by husband and wife team Jean Tatin and Chantal Wilk. Jean has been described by Decanter magazine as a pioneer of the area which was the first ever to be granted AOC status in 1936. This area in central France has been somewhat overshadowed by its near neighbour Sancerre recently but Jean and Chantal\'s wines should encourage consumers back to the region. The wine is fermented slowly and aged on its lees (with regular stirring) before being gently filtered and fined prior to bottling without any use of oak, all of which ensures the maximum of fruit character in the finished wine. A bright pale yellow wine with lots of lemon and grass as well as a hint of something exotic on the nose. Crisp and refreshing on the palate with great citrus like acidity and a long lemony finish.
