Cherubino Cabernet Sauvignon 2009/10 from the Great Southern region is produced by renowned Australian wine critic James Halliday's 2011 Winery of the Year, Larry Cherubino Wines. Fruit is harvested and carefully sorted by hand and the must is fermented with no addition of acid and has an extended skin contact period before being matured for 10 months in a mixture of new and old french oak barrels prior to bottling. A densely coloured wine with classic blackcurrant and tobacco on the nose. The palate has lots of ripe dark fruit flavours nicely supported but never overwhelmed by the gentle oak-derived flavours. Powerful and quite rich with excellent complexity, tannic structure and good persistence of flavour.Delivery on this product COULD be up to 10 days.
