Melton Voices of Angels Shiraz 2010 has a very small percentage of Riesling blended in to the wine that is made with fruit grown in the Mount Pleasant vineyard just inside the Adelaide Hills grwing region. 10% of uncrushed and non de-stemmed fruit is included in the fermentation which heightens the floral character due to its cool climate fruit source. After fermentation the wine is aged in new French (70%) and American oak barrels for 2 years on the lees increasing both mouthfeel and complexity. A deeply coloured wine, rich, with plenty of fruit character. Softly structured and although a big wine the non de-stemmed fruit brings a pleasant balance and structure to the wine.
