Littorai The Pivot Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2013 is made by Tim and Heidi Lemon using biodynamically-farmed fruit the three acre vineyard of the same name which is part of their larger Gold Ridge Estate. Following harvest the fruit was fermented in open-topped fermenters (about 10% as whole bunches) using wild yeasts. After fermentation and malolactic transformation the wines was aged in French oak barrels (about one quarter first fill) for 16 months. An attractive bright, ruby wine with herbs, black cherries and some savoury notes on the nose. The palate is frsh and intense with good tannic structure and a lovely long finish.
