De Loach Heritage Reserve Pinot Noir 2012 is made by winemaker Brian Maloney using fruit from vineyards across northern and central California. After harvest and a period of cold soaking the must was fermented in closed-top fermenters and a portion was subsequently matured in oak barrel, the rest in stainless steel tanks. A deep ruby red wine with cherry and mint on the nose. On the palate it is round and has red fruit flavours and some pepper complemented by good acidity to make a pleasant balanced wine.
