Tinpot Hut Sauvignon Blanc 2014 is cool fermented using cultivated yeast strains. This approach produces a wine with super complexity, a classic Kiwi SB with a pleasing steely minerality. The wine takes its name from the huts in the Wairau and Awatere valleys in Marlborough used in the Autumn by musterers rounding up their sheep. Using fruit largely from her own vineyard in the Blind River Valley winemaker Fiona Turner produces a classic Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc. It is a pale lemon-yellow wine with passionfruit and herbs on the nose. The palate is rich with good balancing acidity and grassy and fruity flavours and a nice mineral finish.
