Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2012 is made by winemakers Paul Bourgeois and Kathy-Lee Sowman using 100% Sauvignon Blanc grown in the Johnson Estate and some trusted grower's sandy-soiled vineyards tended by Adam McClone in the Marlborough region of New Zealand. Following harvest the fruit from each vineyard parcel was crushed and vinified individually, mostly in Stainless steel but a small portion in barrel, then blended prior to bottling. The finished wine is pale straw yellow in colour with plenty of grapefruit, eledrflower and passionfruit on the nose, classic Kiwi Sauv Blanc. On the palate it is smooth, with good crisp acidity and lots of clean fruit flavours. Fine dry finish.
