Hopler Gruner Veltliner 2011 is made using fruit grown in vineyards surrounding the famous Lake Neusiedlersee in eastern Austria. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks to maximise fruitiness and freshness in the finished wine which is yellow-green in colour and has dried grass and pears on the nose with lots of juicy fruit, some steeliness and a little white pepper on the palate.
