Cruz de Piedra Macabeo 2010 is produced by Bodegas Virgen de la Sierra in the mountainous area between Zaragoza and Madrid. Best known for their red wines but the quality of the whites is also impeccable. Fruit from vineyards more than 800 metres above sea level is used to make this pale wine which has a nose with some tropical character. Ripe fruit on the palate, clean and crisp with a lovely finish.
