Librandi Ciro Rosso 2010 is produced by the Librandi brothers with fruit from their 230 hectares of vineyards. Using some very modern approaches, their vineyards being planted in concentric circles and appearing like crop circles, as well as some more tradition thinking mean the wines are modern and fruit driven but a local character is maintained. Produced using the local Gaglioppo variety the Rosso has a nose of cherry, violets and some leather and a rich(ish) palate supported by excellent fruit, ripe tannin and good acidity.
