Henschke Henrys Seven SGV 2010 is a blend of shiraz, grenache, mourvedre and viognier. The shiraz and viognier are fermented together wheraes the grenache and mourvedre are fermented separately. The wine is matured for 15 months in used oak hogsheads prior to bottling. The wine has a nose of sweet dark berries and plums, some fennel and a little nutmeg. On the palate the wine is soft and rich with plenty of bright fruit and an attractive spiciness. Velvety tanins and a good length of flavour.
