Fonterutoli Chianti Classico 2012 is made with hand-harvested fruit from south-facing vineyards near Radda. After being de-stemmed and crushed the warm (30oC) fermentation takes place over 2 weeks for good colour and flavour extraction. Maturation is in small oak barrels for 8 months to a year followed by 6 months in bottle prior to release. A deep ruby wine with pleasant cherry, spice and smoke on the nose. Full onthe palate with ripe tannic structure, good acidity and length of finish.
