Craigies Irish Cider The Ballyhook Flyer 2014 is made by Simon Tyrrell & Angus Craigie using a mixture of Dabinett, Katy and Bramley apples (75/20/5) grown by premium apples growers in and around Waterford, Tipperary and Kilkenny supplemented by fruit from their newly acquired Ballyhook Hill orchard. The varieties are harvested, pulped and fermented separately and are blended and carbonated after fermentation is complete. A lovely orange tinged cider with lots of apples, zest and spice on the nose. Medium bodied it has lovely crisp acidity and a good length of flavour.
